Meeting with the Realtor

We met with our realtor yesterday and the news was better than we had hoped.  I've known Ken for 10 years and we served on our HOA together for the past 4 1/2 years.  So I know he's good at what he does and he is fair.  He thinks we can get a lot more for our house than we thought and that we won't have to put any more money into it to get it sold.  We are ecstatic!

Now I've been checking out rentals in the area we are interested in just for fun.  There really is a lot out there and although moving twice will be a hassle (one to the rental and the next to our forever home) I just am not ready to settle quickly on a house in an unfamiliar area.  I'd rather rent for a year and get to know the area and look around for a place that fits our needs.  In the meantime we can work on building up our savings again and maybe even save up money for a new van.  I like paying cash for vehicles because that monthly payment totally sucks.

So let's hope we can put the house on the market and it sells quickly!
