Selling the house

It's been long overdue.  With Rich losing his job twice in the past several years and getting a pay cut each time, this house has become too expensive.  We don't eat out, we don't take vacations, everything is budgeted tightly and I'm so tired of living this close to the edge.  I don't think that his pay will improve enough in the next five years to make the mortgage worth it.

Plus, now that we are sending our kids to a school 15 minutes away, I'd rather cut the commute anyway.

So now we have to fix up the house to sell.  I so dread this.  If it wasn't hard enough to just maintain the laundry, the kitchen, the carpets, the bathrooms...now I have to find time to paint, patch and replace.  But after this is said and done it will be so nice to pay significantly less on a mortgage and start living again.
